===== Description =====

This is a custom USB controller which features an analog dial that can be used as a simple game controller / joystick device sending X, Y, or Z axis control) or as a MIDI Continuous Controller sending 0 to 127. We've added a push button that can be used to sent other data, such as a game controller button.

The knob spins about 290 degrees and has HARD STOPS and the ends. It is an analog device which turns smoothly, and has no "steps" as you turn.

It is *not* a "weighted spinner" that will keep spinning if you give it a twist and let go. It turns about 290 degrees, similar to a volume knob on a stereo.

The device can alternately be programmed as a USB MIDI device and any software that has a "learn MIDI" mode can recognize it. (It works well as a Continuous Controllers device and also has a button that can be pressed.)

If you are doing custom software development and in need of a serial device, this can also fulfill those needs, sending serial data of your choosing to a computer.

We'll include a Micro USB Cable as long as we have them in stock. (Most likely it will be a 3 foot cable.)

The bottom of the unit has two holes, one allows you to see an internal LED for troubleshooting and the other can access an internal reset button used to load new firmware onto the device.

NOTE: We have a "Digital" version as well, look for the "S1D Digital Controller" in our shop!

The button color may vary. We typically have red, green, yellow, blue, and black. If you need a specific color please get in touch.

The enclosure (black box) is 80mm x 60mm x 33mm. Including the knob and feet the full height of the unit is approximately 53mm tall.

===== Programming =====

The S1A Analog Controller can be programmed to function as a game controller / joystick device.

The S1A can alternately be used to send MIDI CC data. We often program it to send CC3 (0 to 127) and then send the knob/button press to send 127 on CC9.

As with the other devices there is plenty of room for customization.
