Custom Development

Typically someone gets in touch with me and has a rough idea of what they want. We'll discuss things, making sure that the request is doable and once we agree to move forward we figure out exactly what is needed.

Requirements

What do you want the thing to do? Is it a USB HID controller, or a USB MIDI controller, a MIDI controller with 5 Pin DIN output, or something else?

We've built game show systems, one-off tradeshow displays, MIDI controllers that work with guitar pedals, and other strange things.

Step 1 is figuring out what you want.

Discussion

You may not know what you want or need, so we can discuss things and figure it out.

People have all different levels of knowledge and skills, but together we can determine what you want and what I can build for you. Sometimes the final product is nothing like what we originally imagine, but going through the process reveals what should be.

Step 2 is discussing what you want/need.

Sketches

Once we (mostly) know what you want I'll provide sketches showing the device. Sometimes there are just 2D illustrations, sometimes they are 3D renders. Sometimes I'll send photos of previous devices I've built to get an idea of what you are looking for.

Step 3 is nailing down the physical design of the thing.

...

… more to come …
