This is an old revision of the document!
The MK1 Controller is powered via a Micro USB port, and outputs MIDI data via a standard 5 Pin DIN Port, but can also output USB MIDI via the USB cable.
The MK1 MIDI can scroll from 0 to 127. When you get to the number you want you press the knob/button and it will send that number via MIDI output. After you press the knob/button the numbers will blink and then display brighter to indicate the number has been sent. When you scroll the knob again it will dim the numbers to indicate they have not been sent yet.
The encoder spins “forever” meaning it does not have a hard stop in either direction (just like a mouse scroll wheel). It has detents for precise control, allowing you to move one “step” at a time.
The encoder has 20 “clicks” per full turn, which means it will take 6 1/2 turns to go from 0 to 127.
We'll include a Micro USB Cable as long as we have them in stock. (Most likely it will be a 3 foot cable.)
Customized Programming: We can set this up for a MIDI Program Change (PC) or to send noteOn data or CC data. There are lots of options so let us know what you want/need.
