Description

This is a big deal… it's a BIG USB BUTTON!

Yes, it's ridiculously big, and it's a USB Button.

The Big Button uses a small microcontroller to emulates a USB keyboard. We've programed it to type a space when you push the button, which works great with the Sparkbooth photo booth software, but we can also program it for F4 if you use DSLR Remote Pro, or we can make it type pretty much anything you desire. Maybe you want to host a game show simulation on your PC. This will work. (Missile launching will cost extra though.)

The Big Button should work on any computer that supports USB, and should not require any special drivers, since it’s basically just a keyboard with one key. (It can even work on iOS and Android devices.) It can also function as a USB MIDI device. Need a noteOn sent? We can do that.

And hey, it LIGHTS UP! Right now the LED inside is set to be 'on' until you press the big button, and then it turns 'off' for quickly to let you know you've pressed it. This is customizable, and if you want something else, just let us know. (All power is provided via USB, no batteries needed.) A few more details: The Big Button was assembled by hand. The case is made of powder coated die-cast aluminum (though the top “button half” is all plastic.) If the included USB cable is too long (or too short), you can open the case and replace it. The Big Button is tested before we ship it out to ensure that it works properly. We hate when things don't work properly, and we bet you do too.

The enclosure (black box) is 119mm x 94mm x 49.5mm. The big button itself is 100mm wide by 72mm tall (not counting the part that gets mounted under the surface.)

Programming

The Big Button can be programmed to send a single keystroke, for instance a space character or the enter key, as well as a key combo. It can also function as a USB MIDI device and send a noteOn/noteOff, CC data, PC data, or any other MIDI data.
